Acupuncture Treatments

Chinese Acupuncture uses safe, disposable and sterile one-use needles to stimulate energy (Qi) at over 600 points along twelve main channels and eight secondary channels. When the energy in these channels becomes unbalanced, the body is unable to perform to its maximum capability. By needling points selected specifically for your imbalance, acupuncture realigns the energy to alleviate pain and restore vitality.
A tailored treatment is performed using techniques such as saline trigger point injection, moxibustion, electro or laser acupuncture and Chinese cupping.
Acupuncture is effective for the treatment of many conditions including;

Moxibustion
Moxibustion is the process of burning the herb Mugwort leaf which releases a deep penetrating heat that acts to relax muscles, tonify and promote healing.
Electro Acupuncture
A fine electrical pulsation may be applied to some of the points to increase stimulation. This technique is used primarily for pain relief.
Chinese Cupping
A partial vacuum is created when cups are placed on the skin to draw up the underlying tissues causing the tissues to release toxins, this stimulates the circulatory and lymphatic systems and relaxes the muscles.
Laser acupuncture
Laser Acupuncture is a completely needleless form of acupuncture that works on the same traditional Chinese principles of that as normal acupuncture.
Instead of the normal acupuncture needles that are used to penetrate the skin, a class 3B infra red laser is placed superficially on the skin and is used to stimulate the acupuncture points.
The acupuncture points are selected according to the same Chinese diagnostic tools for the same reason, however are stimulated with the laser instead.
This is a great for all ages and is a good way to introduce the family to the benefits of acupuncture or for the needle phobic! I have used this treatment on newborn babies to the elderly.
This offers the great benefits of acupuncture, but without the needle sensation!
